When Oceanic Flight 815 breaks a part mid-air, the survivors all take refuge on an uncharted island off the coast of Australia. Unable to communicate with the outside world, the survivors discover weird and strange things about the island. What's the smoke monster? Why is there a polar bear on a pacific island? Who are "The Others"?

I'm a fan of this show but I have a horrible feeling that nothing is going to be answered. I think they've made it too far fetched, I mean it always was but I feel they have pushed even my imagination too far with it.

There is an interesting structure question here - do you prefer long running shows which in each episode have a begining and end or do you prefer the shows which are one big story like Lost or 24?

I just get bored although I must admit I did watch a lot of HERO's - no comment

I watched like 5 episodes of Lost before I lost it - it felt as if it were never going to be resolved and anytime we got close to any conclusion they just moved the end point

I think he did a lot better job with his movie Cloverfield - while it was not resolved the movie did have a conclusion and it really satisfied me that all the entire Melrose Place looking cast all got snuffed by the evil monster obviously created by the US gov't
