It's only 8 episodes though, so they're probably a bit limited in what they can do to farewell them.

I hope there's a season 5-6 and that the older creator (I forget his name) sticks around. Rumour has it he's leaving to go work on the US version and will hand things over to his son, who's like 19. No offense to him but that's like me being in charge of a TV show. The other guy's got way more experience, the best episodes are written by him and he's responsible for Cassie in S1&2 and Emily/Naomi in S3&4 which are the best characters IMO.

Yeah, I skipped the 10th one, I'm assuming I didn't miss anything by not watching it. But Tony getting hit by the bus, massive WTF?! moment right there! These peoples lives are so screwed up!

I'm up to episode 3 of season 2, so I'm slowly getting there.

I still rage about how they did that. Effy should have said nothing until he got hit. She decided to talk what 2 minutes before that? Would have been way better if her first words were after that.

EDIT:

Just finished season 3, it was alright but it was quite different to the first two seasons. I didn't really like this seasons characters as much. I thought Cook was sort of like Chris, only a lot more of a wanker, and JJ just pissed me off for some reason, especially in the earlier episodes. The only characters I really liked were Naomi and Emily, their storyline was the only good one, and I reckon season 3 would have flopped if it wasn't for their characters.

Not confirmed yet, but apparently plans for the third generation are underway.

There is going to be a US version which will suck. Rumour has it that Bryan Elsley, the older of the two creators, will leave to do that. I really hope he doesn't as he's written the best episodes so far and has been responsible for creating Cassie, Chris, Emily & Noami, the best characters IMO. It would also leave a 20 year old in charge of the writing team.

The rights to a film have also been sold, but that needs to happen now if ever so I doubt it will. A film featuring a combination of first and second gen characters would work, but doubt it'll happen.

When you put it that way it just sounds like "fun"

I guess that could actually explore depression properly, since really they haven't. But the show's already fairly dark, so maybe that's why. Otherwise I think they might put mix up some gender stereotypes.
